Meeting at Explore Highland office at 10am on Monday mornings allows paddlers time to collect the Scottish Canals facility key from Seaport Marina Office, Inverness and chance to top up on camping supplies at Go Outdoors, Inverness or food at the local Coop on Telford Street, Inverness.
On arrival the kettle will be on ready for your tea/coffee order. Your preordered kit will be already for you to check over and canoe barrels and dry bags ready for you to pack your kit into. Once all packed, we’ll load your bags and barrels into the minibus/trailer and depart around 1030am for Fort William.
During the shuttle from Inverness, you’ll see the your route about to take on. Depending on traffic and road works, the shuttle takes just under two hours. When we arrive at Banavie, Fort William, we’ll help you unload your kit and boats. We’ll also offer advise in how to load the canoes, plus how to set up the portage trolleys.
