There are several points where you can start your canoe journey which may even include the River Dochart and the scenic Loch Tay.

The River Tay is very well know for its paddling (and white water rafting), and is also home to Scotland’s slalom course at Grandtully where you gain a taste for grade three river rapids which makes an interesting spectator sport. The Tay is also a popular salmon fishing river, meaning that canoeists have to be on the look out and respect the rights of the fishermen as well as other water users already mentioned.
