Stand Up Paddling Trips

Throughout the year, Explore Highland offer guided stand up paddleboarding trips. These can range from a 2 hour paddle on the Caledonian Canal, Inverness, to multi day adventures.

Based out of Inverness, we are spoilt for choice, however, being Scotland it’s always best to leave the decision of where to paddle till the day so accurate weather and wind forecasts can be sought for a more informed decision. Depending on location, seals, dolphins, osprey, otters and other wildlife may be spotted. No matter the location though or what wildlife we see, you’re guaranteed to have a great time!

Multi-day Stand Up Paddling Adventures

Booking a multi-day stand up paddling adventure allows greater scope to explore one or many locations around the Highlands. These can be wild camp, commercial campsite or accommodation based depending on the private group bookings preferences. Explore Highland can also offer full camping equipment (excluding sleeping bags) too.

Possible location options include;

  • Loch Ness – Fort Augustus to Inverness wild camp on the bank of Loch Ness
  • Loch Maree – wild camp out on one of the many islands
  • Loch Shiel – wild camp
  • Isle of Skye – single or multi-day adventures with lots of location options
  • West Coast Scotland – options including Inner Sound from Loch Duich, Plockton to Applecross, Torridon area, Summer Isles, Achmelvich, and Scourie area
