On Wednesday 30th March I visited the Cullochy Locks works site and […]

EH COVID-19 MAY UPDATE:

I thought I’d share this latest update from theย Scottish Canoe Associationย tonight.

As we know there is now a different route that each of the four UK countries is taking to slowly come out of lockdown. We are all desperate to get out on Scottish waters, get paddling activities happening again, and our outdoor businesses open to […]

EH COVID-19 UPDATE:

I’m currently closed for business as dictated to by the UK government but have taken the time to speak directly or via email to everyone booked up to and including 29th April 2020.

It’s so sad to be unraveling all the plans, bookings and hard work put in from what people see as my offseason, […]

Activity Update – 21 March 2020

There may be no paddling activities being run however unraveling and canceling all bookings made for March and the first fortnight of April is a time-consuming task in itself.

Over the season I have the pleasure to deliver paddling activities to between 600-800 people through individual and group bookings. 2020 bookings were picking up nice in […]

Activity Update – 17 March 2020

Well, a little earlier than expected but we knew the inevitable was coming. And in light of yesterday afternoon’s announcement from the UK government and British Canoeing following up to avoid “non-essential” travel and contact with others to fight the coronavirus.

In the interest of my clients, friends, and families’ safety and welfare, the difficult decision of […]

Activity Update – 15 March 2020

To help participation in the current uncertain climate, for the next six weeks all planned activity booking deadlines have been shortened from 48 hours prior, to midnight/eve of the activity happening.

By shortening the timescale, people can then book at the very last minute to attend. This is to help clients make the decision on their […]

Activity Update – 13 March 2020

Namaste my paddling friends.

Yes, it is affecting us too as a small leisure & tourism business in the Scottish Highlands. After all the months of planning and preparing for the season ahead, a lot of that work is now having to be undone due to cancellations from overseas clients unable to travel.

I do feel sorry […]
