BCU Two Star Canoe & Kayak Training/Assessment

Our BCU Two Star courses help paddlers achieve a basic performance level with multi-discipline focus (canoe/kayak & sea kayakin) in a flat water environment. Explore Highland will teach you the full syllabus plus more over this training weekend. All paddling and safety skills learnt will help set great foundation training for further skill development through the BCU Performance Award scheme.

Should candidates meet the required standard over the weekend, we will issue pass slips which can be redeemed direct with your home nation governing body.

Timing
Meeting at 9.00am. Course participants will be off the water by 4.30pm and finished by 5pm both days.

Meeting Point
TBC, Inverness.

Things to Remember
Please bring along the following items;

  • Old pair of trainers or wellies
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers
  • A hat or cap
  • Maybe shades and suntan cream
  • Complete change of clothes
  • Lunch

What we Supply
We will supply the following items;

  • Eight hours of coaching each day
  • Suitable crafts for the course
  • Appropriate sized buoyancy aid
  • Appropriate sized paddle & spray deck

Group Size
Minimum two paddlers/ maximum six paddlers.

Age Restrictions
This activity is NOT suitable for under 18 year olds.
