Sheltered water skills to get you back out on the water, refresh your paddling skills, and support you in practicing a variety of rescue & self-rescue skills, plus lots of top tips and great safety information.

This session covers skills and key information when paddling in some of our most iconic local paddling spots. Skills covered will include trip planning, knowing the weather forecast, loch paddling skills, rescues and self-rescues, and much more….
 
 
𝗦𝗨𝗣 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝟯 – 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 (Thurs 6th June)
With so many stunning coastlines on our doorstep calling us to explore them, you should know how to stay safe when on the water. Whether it be a half-day, full-day, or multi-day adventure, you should know the difference between tide times and tidal flow, planning skills factoring in wind forecast, key safety equipment, and map reading.
 
 
𝗦𝗨𝗣 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝟰 – 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 (Thurs 20th June)
When better to plan a night paddle than for the Summer Solstice (the longest day of the year). Before heading out on the water we will plan our evening trip, prepare our boards and personal lights, plus set up some basic safety systems to ensure all paddlers are happy and confident with our group plan, including various contingencies that should be considered in such an activity.
 
 
𝗦𝗨𝗣 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝟱 – 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 (Thurs 18th July)
Taking your paddleboard onto moving water can be a scary experience. This evening session will give you a great insight into river skills including reading the river, entering the flow, crossing the flow, exiting the flow, and what you need to do should things go wrong.
All these Thursday evenings are practical sessions and will be based locally to the Inverness meeting at 6pm (except session 4 -Night Paddle will start at the later time of 7pm).
 
 
𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀 (17th, 18th, 24th & 25th April )
If you are not already a paddleboarder and looking at taking up paddleboarding, or not as confident in your paddling and love to attend a beginner paddleboard course, these 2.5-hour all-inclusive courses are perfect. Beginner Paddleboarding all-inclusive sessions are £35pp
