FREE Taster Session – Open Canoeing

Open Canoeing with expert coaching and great kit on the Caledonian Canal in Inverness. Session suitable for complete beginners looking at getting into this relaxing recreation.

We supply: 

• 1.5 hours of coaching
• Open canoes, paddles & buoyancy aid

What you need to bring: During this session we will offer coaching to try keeping your in the canoe, however it may be likely you do fall off. We recommend bring along;

• Swimwear with legging or shorts n t-shirt may be appropriate but do take a waterproof jacket & trousers
• wetsuit or drysuit can also be worn
• a hat or cap to keep warm
• old trainers that you don’t mind getting wet/wear out on the water
• towel and complete change of clothes for afterwards

Group Size: Max 8

Age: Suitable for adults only (18 years old or over)

Meeting Time: 7.30pm for 7.45pm

Meet Location: Explore Highland Office, Clachnaharry Works Lock, Inverness, IV3 8RA. Free parking available onsite

Finish Time: Approx. 9.15pm

There will be no charge for these sessions however you can make a donation into our local charity collection can on the night. Those who attend will also receive a 25% discount to one of our full day Introduction to Paddling courses. Bookings open online from 6pm on Monday 24th April 2017 and available on a first come first served basis. We ask that you book onto one free course only per person!
