Improver Sea Kayaking – Launching & Landing Skills (1 day)

Not all launches and landings are from simple beaches. This course is suitable for those with their own sea kayak and looking to gain more skills and methods of launching and landing individually or as a team at various tricky locations whether for emergency egress or for a break off the water on tricky coastlines.
EH supplies:
- tea/coffee at course briefing & debrief
- transport to/from local paddling location if needed
- full day of sea kayak coaching
- copies of photos taken by your guide during the trip
What you need to bring:
We recommend bring along;
- your own warm paddling kit
- suitable sea kayak, paddle, spray deck & paddle
- hat, cap & gloves
- helmet required
- lunch and juice
- hot flask
- complete change of clothes
- some water/juice and a snack
Group Size: Min 3/Max 6 (Bookings closed a week before activity date. Should there not be sufficient numbers, you will be notified and issued a full refund)
Age: Suitable for adult sea kayakers (18 years old or over)
Meeting Time: 8.45am for 9.00am
Meet Location: Explore Highland Office, Clachnaharry Works Lock, Inverness, IV3 8RA. Free parking and toilet available onsite
Finish Time: Approx. 6.00 pm
Experience: Paddlers should be at BC Two Star Award level in a sea kayak, looking to develop towards BC Three Star Award or above
