Intermediate White Water Kayaking Weekend (2 days)

Take your white water kayaking to the next level. This course is aimed at experienced white water kayakers looking to be able to take on more demanding rivers, rapids and challenges. The aim of this course is to offer paddling advise, top techniques and handy hints to read paddling lines, paddle them and review. Paddlers should be happy paddling on a grade 3 rivers with some experience on grade 4.

EH supplies: 

• tea/coffee at course briefing & debrief
• transport to/from local paddling location if needed
• full day of coaching
• copies of photos & video taken by your guide during the trip

What you need to bring:

We recommend bring along;

• your own warm paddling kit
• suitable ww kayak (with air bags fitted), paddle, spray deck & helmet
• hat, cap & gloves
• lunch and juice
• hot flask
• complete change of clothes
• some water/juice and a snack

Group Size: Min 3/Max 4 (Bookings close a week before activity date. Should there not be sufficient numbers, you will be notified and issued a full refund)

Age: Suitable for adults (18 years old or over)

Meeting Time: 8.45am for 9.00am

Meet Location: Explore Highland Office, Clachnaharry Works Lock, Inverness, IV3 8RA. Free parking and toilet available onsite

Finish Time: Approx. 6.00 pm

Experience: Paddlers should be at BC Three Star Award level in a inland kayak, looking to improve their personal paddling skills and knowledge. A reliable white water roll is beneficial but not compulsary
