SUP Evening Paddle

Throughout Summer we are offering a number of opportunity to join us for an evening paddle.

Meeting at our base, ensuring we have suitably sized wetsuit, personal buoyancy aids if paddler wishes, we drive the group a short distance to a local paddling location. Here we unload the boards, and after a short safety briefing, we launch onto the water for a fun evening.

The paddling location will greatly depend on the weather (espeically the wind direction and strenght) and will be selected for the groups ability.

Options include;

  • Beauly Firth (launching from Clachnaharry)
  • Loch Dochfour (launching at Dochgarroch)
  • Loch Ness (launching at Dores Beach)
  • Aigas Gorge (launching from Aigas Dam)
  • River Ness (Dochgarroch to Inverness)
  • Caledonian Canal (Dochgarroch to Inverness)

This trip is suitable for adults only.

We supply:

  • transport shuttle from our Inverness office to the paddling location, and back
  • a suitable stand up paddleboard
  • a personal buoyancy aid (PFD)if paddler wishes
  • an adjustable length SUP paddle
  • a 20 litre dry bag per SUP spare clothes and snack
  • a safe four hour guided paddling adventure

Group Size: Min 3 Adults, Max 6

Meeting Time: 5.45pm for 6.00pm

Meet Location: Explore Highland Office

Finish Time: Approx 10.00pm

What you should bring:

What clothing to wear greatly depends on the weather. When paddling these kayaks you should expect to get your feet wet, splashed with the possibility of falling in. If weather is suitable, shorts n t-shirt are suitable with swimwear on below will be fine. Otherwise we would recommend wearing a wetsuit (please arrive at 5.45pm if you require to borrow a wetsuit).

We recommend bringing;

  • swim wear
  • towel
  • wetsuit if you have one
  • old footwear/trainers that you don’t mind getting wet
  • a snack and a drink
We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
