Well, a little earlier than expected but we knew the inevitable was coming. And in light of yesterday afternoon’s announcement from the UK government and British Canoeing following up to avoid “non-essential” travel and contact with others to fight the coronavirus.

In the interest of my clients, friends, and families’ safety and welfare, the difficult decision of stopping the delivery of paddling activities has to begin.

As we are all in the same unknown current predicament, it makes sense to initially close down for the next two weeks, up to and including 29th March.

This position will be reviewed as things progress, and a further update will be issued come Friday 27th March. I have also canceled my planned Great Glen Canoe Trail guided trip 6-10 April due to the majority of clients unable to travel to the UK from their home country.

Over the next few days, I will be contacting all client’s booked over this period to arrange a suitable rebooking date or refund.

I will also be contacting all clients booked in over the following fortnight (30th March to my birthday, 12th April) and ensure they are kept in touch and updated appropriately.

Apologies to everyone as its disappointing for all. Our beautiful Highland rivers, lochs, and coastlines are going nowhere, and fingers crossed I can resume trading in the very near future.

Regards

Donald
